The ticketing feature on this website allows you to enter the amount you want to pay. This will initiate a complicated series of mechanisms in the back end of the Dharma and Simon Presents lab which will churn out an invoice for that amount. You pay it into our bank resulting in more mechanisms which end with an emailed ticket in your inbox. Bingo. Easy.
We’ve elected to use a ‘name your price’ feature because we feel that freedom of choice is important. There is no-one better placed going into this event to determine what ticket price is proportionate to your circumstances than you. So have at it.
Here is some info that’ll help provide some parameters.
We generally get about 50 paying people to our NYE event. Our expenses are around $5000. So 50 people at $100 will get us over the line. In an ideal world we’ll leap over the line rather than fall over the line. But as long as we reach the line we’re good. That said ‘falling over the line’ is very much in the Dharma and Simon wheel house. But for different reasons.
$50-$100 Range
- For whatever reason you’re feeling the pinch, the clamps are on, your liquidity is not flowing, your financial situation is constrained.
- Maybe you’re only coming for a day or a portion of the event but would still like to make a contribution that doesn’t break the bank.
$100-$180 Range
- You have a little more financial freedom and are able to contribute something in this range. Those of you who are able to pay at the higher end create a symmetry in pricing that balances those who pay at the lower end. We like this example of how we are stronger together.
Less than $50 or more than $180. You’ve gone rogue. Good for you. Who know’s what this will do to our notions of balance. We’ll find out.
